"If you want to make a mark in any new jobs you may be offered, or are just trying to get noticed more at your current job, you'd do well to pick up a few tips on job motivation. "
One of the vital parts of being happy in jobs of all kinds is staying motivated throughout the day. As soon as your motivation drops, so does your productivity. In all kinds of jobs, the most productive workers are usually the happiest and everyday motivation is what helps them.
If you want to make a mark in any new jobs you may be offered, or are just trying to get noticed more at your current job, you'd do well to pick up a few tips on job motivation. This list should give you a head start, seeing you easily get through the slow days in even the most tedious jobs.
Get your circulation up
If your body is energised, your mind will be energised. Sitting at a desk all day will cause you to become increasingly sedentary, so try to move around whenever you get the opportunity. If the convenience of sending an intra-office memo via email isn't a vital necessity of efficiency, go and see who you need to in person. This will not only help you remain physically energised, but the social aspect will activate your mind.
Also, going for a longer walk when you take coffee breaks, including some stairs if possible, should help to stave off the fatigue you can get from sitting in a chair for the majority of the day. When you are in a position that conserves energy for a long enough time, your body will assume you are resting, making you feel physically tired. In office jobs, this is probably experienced just before lunch and a few hours before you go home.
Use your break to refresh
Try not to waste your lunch break on just getting food. If all you are doing is dealing with the stress of having to grab your lunch and wolf it down before your break is over, you won't refresh your mind. Standing in line is hardly great exercise, too. Bring your lunch in to work so that you can free up the part of your lunch hour you aren't working. You can then go for a walk, jog, or just do some puzzles. Whatever will help you refresh will help you with motivation in jobs.
It doesn't take much effort to keep up your enthusiasm in any jobs you may do. Taking small amounts of time to refresh may seem less productive, but if you are remaining focused in the afternoon, when everyone else is struggling to keep going, you';ll soon see the benefits.
