Job Description:

  • Full-time Opportunity - Geraldton Based
  • Salary Packaging benefits - save up to $15,990 per year tax free!
  • We'll introduce you to the role through a comprehensive on-boarding process
Who We Are

The Apprenticeship Community is a collaboration of two leading not for profit organisations, BUSY At Work and CoAct, that's designed specifically for Western Australian employers and apprentices. We are proud and excited to announce that we have been successful in securing a new Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) contract for Outback WA.

CoAct has been recognised as a Winner of The Australian Business Awards for Employer of Choice in 2019. This award signifies that we have created an extraordinary work environment for our employees. We know that the apprenticeship and traineeship value proposition in the workplace is a good one.  It's great for employers needing skilled and committed people in their workplace and for apprentices and trainees where they gain a recognised qualification and real-time experience as they build their career.

Job Requirements:

And that's where you come in...

The Apprenticeships Field Officer role has responsibility for developing relationships across your region to identify apprenticeships opportunities and concurrently, attract suitable candidates to fill these roles. You will need to be able to sell the benefits of Apprenticeships and Traineeships to vastly different stakeholders, and ensure we secure ongoing sign-up opportunities.

This varied role will include business development, presenting to forums of young people, managing the complex sign up process, and your own admin and reporting. It's a busy role but you will have the ability to manage your own work day with the aim of kicking your KPI's out of the ball park!

Through identifying prospective employers, understanding their needs and articulating a compelling value proposition for them, you'll build a pipeline of employers that recognise the program benefits and are keen to engage in it.  You have the perseverance to move the sale through every touch point which allows you to deliver quality outcomes.

About you
  • You will be a champion at fostering and building solid relationships
  • You have a heart of gold with a genuine desire to make a difference in someone's life
  • Proven sales capability that has already delivered you results. You are very strong across the full sales cycle from planning and generating leads to managing objectives and closing
  • Proven ability to work to and exceed KPIs in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • Understand how diversity and inclusion initiatives can be applied in the workplace
  • Strong emotional intelligence and resilience
  • You feel the need to exceed expectations and take complete ownership of your role
  • It's highly desirable to have previous experience in apprenticeships or within a training, VET, employment or recruitment setting
  • You have an open Driver's Licence
Why choose to work with us
  • We offer a company vehicle, salary packaging (you pay less tax and therefore have more take-home pay) flexible work hours, a monthly RDO, purchased leave and various other benefits!
  • You'll also receive a top of the range laptop and mobile phone, so you have everything you need to do your job effectively
  • It's a great place to work! In our recent employee engagement survey, 92% of staff told us they were highly engaged (level of satisfaction) at work
