Pit Patroller

About the role

We are looking for Komatsu AHS (Autonomous Komatsu 830 fleet) Pit Patrollers that are currently residing in WA! We are able to offer you a permanent role on a fly in/out basis out of Perth. Initially the roster will be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. This role reports to the Production Supervisor. We are looking for people with experience working in a similar role previously undertaking tasks such as:
  • Monitor & implement improvement in pit standards with particular focus on Intersections and Haul roads for safe and efficient AHS operation
  • Assist in team shift change events in managing mine movements at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Assist dig unit operators to achieve optimum spot paths. Ensure road surveys reflect best travel path to dig face
  • Assist push unit operator to achieve optimum bed hold times and dump spot times, Ensuring roads and location size reflects what push unit requires to safely operate and optimal for the flow of trucks. i.e. 2 tip heads or smaller location
  • Keep fluid communication between site and controllers, plan ahead any major movements/delays of dig units to reduce AHS queuing.
  • Plan ahead to ensure optimal conditions for active tip areas, crusher throughput, loading area size, dump location size and critical haul road conditions. Utilising Dig unit down time i.e. fuel, service, breakdown to monitor locations and make improvements.
  • Assist with in pit leadership coverage as required

Job Requirements:

About You

To secure one of these roles, you should have:

ESSENTIAL
  • A manual C Class driver’s license
  • 3yrs minimum experience operating mining HME – Komatsu AC HT mandatory
  • Komatsu AHS training/Experience
DESIRABLE
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Leadership skills/experience
  • Production dig unit/track dozer experience
